Searching For The Light

A rainy tunnel, a single campfire on an empty beach, and elements from a dimly lit museum of spiritual knowledge; these visuals paint the backdrop of Heaven X’s newest music video, Searching For The Light, which is an exploration of Heaven’s journey of self-discovery from hip hop roots to eternal truths.

Kids (Keep Ya Head Up)

A song about children who feel depression and peer pressure, Kids (Keep Ya Head Up) is a soulful anthem of inspiration and Heaven X’s mission statement. Heaven X’s debut music video features Aum, a young boy discovering his personhood in between daydreams at a school that doesn’t understand him.

Leaders

A song about inspiring heroes, Leaders is an homage to revolutionaries, spiritual figures, and music artists that define hip hop culture and higher consciousness. The video features archival footage interlaced with performance scenes of Heaven X shot onsite in Orange County, CA by Alex Stoica.

Appreciation

A tribute to family and those special people who shape our lives, Appreciation is an offering of gratitude to those who paved the way. This video features archival home video footage of Heaven X as a child growing up in Los Angeles, scenic drone footage, and performance shots in the canyons of Anaheim Hills.

Higher

The sonic confluence of live guitars and boom bap hip hop beats sets the stage for Higher’s intricate wordplay that creatively weaves the names of over 20 genre-defining rock groups throughout a narrative that encourages listeners to break out of lower modes of nature into higher states of consciousness.

Who is Heaven X?

Heaven X is a Los Angeles-based hip hop artist, music producer, and former monk of 6 years. The musician is signed to Venice Music, a record company co-founded by Troy Carter. In addition, Heaven X has an onboarded crew that includes Wendy Day, who formerly worked with Tupac and Eminem. HX has also toured with KRS ONE.

Heaven X, also known as JC Das, is the co-founder to Good Luck Yogi (GLY) a health and wellness company that teaches children how to breathe mindfully. HX has spent several years of his life as a monk in India, Los Angeles, and New York.

Since arriving back in 2020 from the monastery, HX has recorded his debut album, The Enlightenment LP, set to release late 2022.

Meet the team

The Heaven X team consists of hip hop legends like Wendy Day who worked closely with Eminem and Tupac Shakur, successful independent hip hop artists like Sylvan Lacue, web3 marketing professionals, and Venice Music, a web2 music label pursuing work with crypto-native artists.
